Organized by members of the “Flugsportvereinigung Celle“, we got chance to visit the control tower at the nearby Airbase of the German Army in Celle-Wietzenbruch (ETHC) last Wednesday.

The timing could not have been more perfect since the Dutch Army was in midst an air assault training phase and we got to watch several paratroopers in action.

Besides stepping up to the control tower and chatting with the controlling soldiers, we also got insides in the newly renovated and equipped radar room and the PAR radome.
